Well, don't we all love studio Ghibli animation? well, you came to the right place here I will be giving 10 animations movies similar to Studio Ghibli's style.

1. COLOURFUL

GENRE: MYSTERY AND FANTASY DIRECTOR: KEIICHI HARA
WRITTEN BY:: ETO MORI

Where do I start, this animation is one of my many all time favourite. It's just one of those animated films that just drag you in from every angle. Do you know, when you see an anime or film that is impacts you and makes you go wow? Yeah, this is it. Colourful revolves around the heavy topic of death. This is stated in the beginning of the film: "I" died and was kicked out of the cycle of reincarnation because of the sin "I" committed. An angel told me that "I" won a lottery and he gave me a chance to remember the sin. My spirit possessed the body of the 14-year-old boy Makoto, who committed suicide and "I" tried to recollect my memory. "I" felt distressed by the terrible circumstances of Makoto and the fact that "I" was borrowing his body. "I" have started to realize that people are hurting each other because the world is too colourful to distinguish the true colour of themselves from others.

2.   SUMMER WARS

 GENRE: COMDEY , SCI-FI, DRAMA
 DIRECTOR: HOSODA MAMORU

The animation of this anime is quite for filling in design storyline and visuals. My entire time watching it , i got pulled in and felt all the emotions expressed by the characters. In this animated film, is about a boy named Kenji Kois, who is a 17 year old high schooler with the ability of being a upmost math genius. Outside the realm of schooling, he is a a oz moderator in virtualized reality, which is quite popular worldwide. One day a girl named Natsuki Shinohara comes by and asks Kenji to take a summer job , which is being her pretend boyfriend for her great grannies birthday. As he embarks on this summer job he receives a text which is a maths question that he eventually cracks. Unknowingly, he just cracked open the  gates into the cryptography of OZ's  security protocol , thus leading the virtual war to save the world.

3. HOTARUBI NO MORI E

GENRE: ROMANCE, DRAMA,SHOUJO , SUPERNATURAL

This animated film is indeed a big tear jerker, so  you all better get your tissues ready.  In this film , a girl named Hotaru Takegawa (aged 6) one day  gets lost in a forest. As she is  perplexed and worried of how to get out she mets a masked spirt. This sprit is named  Gin and appears to have a human outer appearance. Sadly, Gin as he is a spirt can disappear with a touch from a human. He tells her not to come back and leads her out of the fort. Regardless of those two facts ,Hotaru makes a promise to Gin that she will visit him every summer. As she visits each summer the friendship between the two deepen, as they embark on this sad but lovely journey.

4. HAL

GENRE: ROMANCE, FANTSY , DRAMA
Another sad but good one, i think this list should be renamed tragic but beautiful animated films. Anyways,  this  film is about a girl named Kurumi who suddenly becomes detached form reality . These actions stemmed from the loss of her boyfriend Hal, who died died in a plane crash. This left her heart in a desolate state. Depressed and withdrawn from her surroundings, a human like a robot modelled exactly in the form of Hal comes into her life. This model is exactly like Hal from emotions to look and style, but however, doesn't spark any happiness for Karumi.  Slowly they start to from unique bond and  eventually, she opens a little up.

5. TAMAKO'S LOVE STORY
GENRE: ROMANCE, SLICE OF LIFE AND COMEDY
